Re: Encumbrance Explained
I figured out a way to test humanoid mob Str. Since humanoid mobs can wield any weapon humans can, they should have at least 18 Str. Their natural inventory weight limit of 74.0 lbs would then suggest that, if they follow the same equation as players do, their Con should be 11, since (3.5 X 18) + (1...

Weapons - Base Stats
The following list shows the actual stats of the weapons in the game, as used in the Equipment Trainer . These are the numbers used by the game itself. The output you see in game is determined based on a number of factors, which is detailed in the post on http://www.wotmudarchives.org/forum/viewtopi...

Re: Encumbrance Explained
I wonder if there would be any way to test that? It would lead to other questions as well, such as does that only apply to Humanoid mobs, or others? Tree-type mobs, for instance, seem to have much lower defense than Humanoids or Animals of the same level. Of course, being hard-coded, there is no rea...

Encumbrance Explained
Since I enjoy this sort of thing, and also since it might be of interest and use to people, I decided to do a little testing of how many items a person can carry in their inventory, as well as how much weight can be carried and worn. The results have proven to be very interesting and, in some ways, ...

MVs Regen Explained
Building upon some earlier work on Encumbrance in general, testing has been undertaken to explain the various facets of Movement Point regen rates for both Humans and Trollocs. The effects of worn/carried weight, as well as hunger/thirst, will be shown to govern regen rates and, under certain circum...

Re: Some BMI Findings
It is indeed true that there are 6 possible weights for a given height, 3 each for males and females. Race actually plays no role, since trollocs/fades/dreadlords all follow the same human charts. Races and sexes do have different Height ranges, however. For any male char, Weight = (6 x Height) - Z,...

Some BMI Findings
BMI TESTING RESULTS Introduction With the recent release of a pfile in a previous thread, information was obtained to enable us to quantify the mysterious 'BMI' stat. Similar to the real Body Mass Index, a player's BMI stat was determined to be a function of height and weight, as follows: Naked BMI...
