Starting this post as not to clutter up Hress' Art of Backstab thread.

Opening questions for Hress:

Did you test other ranges of dexterity?
How did you account for sneak playing a factor in success rate?
Wiki shows other javelins can stab besides just pine and harpoon, check any of those?
What do you mean by your minor conclusion about charge and weave damage, isn't weave damage static?

Thanks for sharing all the damage info you have found, look forward to learning more!

Taziar

Look at table carefully and you will understand what i wrote.
There are lines with 3000 stabs without hide, just with sneak.
There are lines with sneak 0 or sneak off.
And yes even for 12 dex success rate will be same as for 19 dex. I lost some statistic, for 12 dex and for Level 15 char. Will recreate it sooner.
In wotmud stats affects indirectly to abilities, thru skills which in case of low stats are harder to get to higher value.
Only defense and offense depends on stats. And Wil, that affects on buildup rate of fleelag and maybe higher will gives resistance to status negatives weaves.
Maybe other javelins stabs, light metal javelin pierces, i do not know. Easy to check.
Charge damage and success rate will be my next research, or maybe weaves. Almost ready to gather statistics.
Maybe i'm wrong, but i have some feelings about it.

Update 30.05.2017: Fixed and updated some explation on 'Art of Backstabing', thank you Taziar

I think there might be a room modifier in there somewhere. I never blick trees but if I go to "Withering woods in the Blight" I seem to blick all three of those trees everytime.

Great work Hress.
My only Query here is how does the individual weapon affect stab landing rate.

ie. anecdotally everyone has said Jade>Redstone for landing rate - there appears nowhere for that to come into the successrate % formula

Feelings often are wrong, only statistics will say truth
If you read carefully i noted it, and from test results you can do same conclusion
MORE OVER Feneon said it on globals once, i think i have it in log somewhere

7) Does weapon affect on backstab success?
No, all weapons has no affect on backstab land success. All weapons are same in terms of backstab success.

Thanks Hress!

I just wanted to triple check as your proof here so eloquently destroys so many myths surrounding stab.
